Latest Poster Reveals The Reason For The * In “THUNDERBOLTS*” Title
Early screenings of Marvel Studios’ most latest movie offering occurred Tuesday night and overall reactions are very positive for the motley crew of anti-heroes. Consisting of former villains and shady protagonists, a group that was assigned to kill themselves off, join forces and create the Thunderbolts*.
Since the official title announcement, fans have speculated what the “*” stood for in the title. Some thought it was a placeholder for another title, later to be revealed. Others speculated it was a way to differentiate themselves from Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross after the events of Captain America: Brave New World. These theories couldn’t be farther from the actual meaning.
In a recent poster release around the time of the European Premiere, we find our answer.

If you were hoping for a big reveal, or even a really deep reference… sorry to disappoint. The Thunderbolts will be standing in for the yet to be re-assembled Avengers. Never fear “True Believers”!
