Noirvember Begins: The Woman in the Window (1944) & Scarlet Street (1945) | The Reel Study S6 Ep 7
This week on The Reel Study, we’re kicking off Noirvember with an Edward G. Robinson double feature: The Woman in the Window (1944) and Scarlet Street (1945). From a quiet professor whose chance encounter with a mysterious woman leads to murder and blackmail to a lonely, unassuming cashier whose obsession with a young woman pulls him into a web of deception and crime, these films showcase the dark side of desire and the dangerous consequences of crossing the wrong line.
Before the discussion, catch up on The Reel News for the latest movie headlines. Then check out Reel Roundup, where the panel shares their first-time watches — whether it’s a brand-new release in theatres, a streaming debut, or an older film they’re finally catching up on.
