CinemaCon Promises Spider-Man 4 A “Brand New Day”

In the midst of Sony’s announcements at CinemaCon, Spider-Man 4, follow up to the hit movie “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, has received its official title of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”.

Many comic fans will identify the importance of this title in the Spider-Man comic lore. “Brand New Day” was the story line that immediately followed the events of “One More Day” of which “Spider-Man: No Way Home” was loosely based, that like the movie involved Spider-Man making a tough decision in order to cause the world to forget who Spider-Man was and thus ending his marriage to Mary Jane Watson in the process. Unlike the comic version, the MCU Peter Parker remembers the events of “No Way Home” and this upcoming sequel will continue with him dealing with the consequences.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Director of Shang-Chi) and Starring Tom Holland, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will release on July 31st, 2026.
